Spring retreat, Terschelling

Three nights on the island. Two practices a day, long walks, a sauna and food you do not have to think about.

What it looks like

Wide skies, a wind that never quite stops and a wooden house five minutes from the beach. Mornings start with a long Vinyasa, afternoons are yours, and the day closes with Yin and a sound bath before dinner.

The days

We meet at seven for tea and a short breathing practice, then move for ninety minutes while the light comes up over the dunes. Breakfast is late and slow. After that the island is yours: the beach is empty in April, the bikes are free and the sauna at the house is lit by four.

At five we come back together for a quiet Yin class and a sound bath. Dinner is cooked for us, vegetarian, mostly from the island, and eaten at one long table. Nobody has to be anywhere in the evening.

Who it is for

Everyone who has been to a class with us at least a few times. You do not need to be strong or flexible, you need to be able to sit with yourself for three days without a schedule. Groups are small, twelve at most, so the teacher sees everyone and the house never feels full.
